Now that I have my Constitution-Class starship, the U.S.S. Discovery, modeled in Maya, I needed a bridge set to add to the animation. This is a current shot of the bridge model using a 28mm camera. I changed the layout of this slightly. The original blueprints had the viewscreen, nav-helm station, and captain's chair turned slightly to port. Essentially, as the ship would move, these stations would be sliding sideways through space. My layout has moved one of the stations to the opposite side of the bridge, allowing the viewscreen, nav-helm station, and the captain's chair to face directly forward, in line with the motion of the vessel. Now I just have to come up with some greenscreen work to composite into this 3D model. Let me know what you think!
